Busy Busy Busy

So it has been a few weeks, sorry. We have been in a tailspin since finding out where we are moving and life is just really busy. Last week we had a trip to Portland with 2 days of Doctor apptments for Kyle. His phyiscal therapist is happy with his progress. She feels he is catching up delopmentaly and is now meeting his milestones, which is a huge answer to prayer. Kyle's GI doctor was very happy with his growth and said he looks wonderful (we knew that already)! She has some contacts back in Cleveland that she was going to call and help us find Kyle just the right specialist back there. We also got to enjoy seeing a good friend in Portland, it is such a blessing to have friends that pour into our lives and uplift us as we go thru trying and stressful times.
We also snuck a weekend visit to Mom and Dad's house which is always a relaxing treat.
Here are some pictures from the last two weeks:
Two of my boys eating apples, Kyle likes to suck the juice and slobber all over the apple:)

It was in the 70's today so after we picked up and mowed the yard the kids played in the spinkler

They like to dress up the poor old dog
And that was what we did the last two weeks :) Along with trying to plan a cross-country move, hopefully we will have more details soon and we will fill you in!

We are moving toooooo......

CLEVELAND, OHIO!!!!!!!

Crazy right! That is what we thought when we heard the news, the most common question we hear is "isn't Ohio land locked?". Ohio has a big lake (Lake Erie) to the north of it and that is where we will be stationed. Wade will be doing law enforcement and search and rescue, and ice rescue in the winter. We are still trying to figure out the logistics of a huge move with 4 kids and 2 dogs, but hopefully we will start having more concrete plans soon. We are hoping to be heading that way end of May/beginning of June!
What we know so far about Cleveland is :
it has one of the top 10 children's hospitals in the nation for GI (huge answer to prayer for Kyle)
it is home of the Rock and Roll Hall of fame (which is right next to the USCG station)
it is home to the Cleveland Browns (who's stadium is next to the USCG station)
it is 3 1/2 hours from Niagara Falls (I have always wanted to go there)
it snows there in the winter (the kids are VERY excited)
it is three hours time difference from the west coast
it is over 2500 miles from Brookings

This week we were learning about G so today we made GOOP, with starch and glue :)

Last night was the pinewood derby at cub scouts, Nanny came down to hang out. Josh's tank was not the fastest but it was pretty cool looking, Wade and Josh put a lot of work into it.

We have also been starting the task of making our house not "ours" anymore and painting walls back white. Oh the joys of moving!
We put the trailer on the market and are hoping it sells soon.
Other than that we have been cleaning and purging stuff getting ready for a move. We have been in Brookings for 4 years and added 2 kids to our household while we were here so we have accumulated STUFF! So we are pairing down and prepping for our new adventure!

Happy Sunday!

This week the girls were learning about the letter D so we did all kinds of D activities...
Homemade dog bones for our doggies

Dinosaur fossils

Here we made Dino fossil/eggs that later the kids got to play archaeologist and "dig the Dino out"
Here they are before I dried them out

We had a friend over to help us dig the Dino's out, the kids had a ton of fun with this activity

One morning the girls gave Kyle the "lap top" he thought he was hot stuff cruising around pushing buttons!
First bubble bath:) He enjoyed it, he kept sticking his mouth in the bubble and licking them, silly boy!
