Berry picking

We had an early morning with Kyle having an appt. downtown with his vascular MD at 7:30. He is happy with how he is doing and excited that he will be getting a pump. (Which he got this evening) 

After the appointment the kids and I drove down to Lodi to pick black berries with some friends. 

They were huge juicy blackberries

And ate lots too!

And he enjoyed collecting rocks in his "hat" which he took off every time I tried to take a picture. 

It was a fun day!

Thunderstorms and lemonade stands

We have quite the mix of weather in Ohio, hot, humid, cool, and thunderstorms, are some we have had this summer. The other night we had a pretty good thunderstorm, when I went to check on sleeping kids this is the pile I found. 

They do love each other. 

Last weekend the kids wanted to have a lemonade stand to raise money to donate to lymphedema research. The city was having a big event up the street from our house so it was the perfect weekend with lots of traffic. 

They are so cute. 

They sat out there for two days and made $80 selling lemonade! I was so proud of their selling and giving!

BIRTHDAY BASH

On Thursday we did a pool party for Josh's birthday. The pool reserved the big umbrella for us and provided hotdogs and soda. We brought Costco cake and friends. Every one had a great time and the kids all left tired and water logged. It was a great way to throw a party and not have to mess up the house. The life guards even enjoyed the leftovers.

I can not believe that the little boy who made me a Mommy is turning 9!!!!

So today we celebrate Josh and the amazing caring young man he is!

We went to the Great Lakes Science Center today. Josh picked an IMAX movie that was about a group of South Pacific islands. Then we headed down to the traveling Lego exhibit.

Visiting Wade at work, we brought cupcakes to celebrate!

Josh got a Bearded Dragon for his birthday! He is very excited about our new little pet. 

Then tonight we had dinner with friends (who where also celebrating a birthday today) played in their pool and ate cake! It was a fun filled birthday day! Now time for bed!

Where is the summer going?

Sorry I have not posted in a while, we have had company and been keeping pretty busy. We have been having some major house issues that have been consuming a lot of us, but that is a story for another day. Last Sunday we went to Niagria Falls and camped for 2 nights with Wade's parents.  It was really fun to see that breath taking site. I will try and post pictures soon! Today the kids and I went and had a picnic at the park with friends. 

The kids had a blast and it was fun to have some Mommy time too :-)

This was a ice cream trip in the last few weeks, Kyle likes his fat-free "owce tream"

Blueberries!

The girls and I went and picked 7.5 pounds of blueberries tonight at a local farm. The boys stayed home with grandma.

Yesterday Josh and I went downtown Cleveland, I took Josh's picture in front of Cleveland's famous "free stamp" they are in the process of repainting it. 

Josh had a eye check up yesterday. The doctor is happy with how everything is healing. 

The kids and I took Grandma Lynn to the library the other day, the kids had fun playing in the Discovery works area. 

The kids helped Wade finish the fence on Tuesday. Josh screwed half of all the screws in, he loves to work along side his Daddy. Everyone was very willing to help out.
