Thankful
We had a nice quiet Thanksgiving yesterday. We reminisced about past thanksgivings and we're thankful to all be together. We enjoyed time together as a family and had a neighbor over for dinner. Thankful for all we have.

He is home
They "let" Kyle escape this afternoon. He is looking like his old self again.
Praise God he's feeling better and thanks for the prayers.
Please Keep Praying
Well as of this morning things are looking up. We had as good of a nights rest as you can probably get in the hospital with someone coming in every 2 hours to check something. However after his blood draw this morning at 0530 he puked up all over the bed. Not sure what the doctors will make of that but it's not that unusual for him to do. For the most part it sounds like they are happy with his improvement thus far and we are just waiting on the early morning blood work to come back and for the doctor's panel to meet and talk about him this morning. They hope he will be good to go home but they are making no promises.
Still sleeping so far.

Bugga Day 3
Well we are at day three now. Kyle is looking better. They did a couple more tests today that we are waiting on results. They also did an ultrasound and chest X-ray which both came back normal for Kyle. There is a little consern with his white blood cell count and he is on a preventive antibiotic because that makes him susceptible to catching something. Katie went home for the evening to hopefully get a good nights sleep for a change.
They are hoping we will be able to leave tomorrow but we will see in the morning.

Bugga Monster Update
A quick update on Kyle aka Bugga Monster. He was looking much better today. They took him off of the heavy antibiotic he was on and removed all of the infectious disease protocol. His appetite was back as he devoured six of the little cups of peaches and a grilled cheese sandwich this afternoon. His energy level still isn't very high evident by his being content just sitting in bed all day. The blood cultures should have results back tomorrow afternoon sometime and if they are good hopefully he will be able to come back home. Your continued prayers for him and his wonderful yet very tired momma are greatly appreciated.
Avoiding the ICU
For those of you that don't know we ended up in the hospital again yesterday with Kyle. He woke up not looking well and after a morning just lying on the couch had a fever of 105. Which was immediately followed by a trip to the ER. Once there they pumped fluids onto him and started him on antibiotics. When I left last night he was looking much better and the fever had subsided, however they weren't sure what had caused the fever in the first place. Praise God that they got it down because they were going to admit him to the ICU he looked so bad. Your continued prayers for Kyle, Katie and the rest of us are much appreciated and needed.

Kyle update
Thank you for the prayers and phone calls. It is very comforting to hear voices we know care deeply for Kyle and our whole family. Kyle had a pretty good day. His energy level is not up to peak 3 year old status but it is better than it has been. We have had no temps for a few days so the antibiotics seem like they are working. Praying we stay on the upward swing.
Here are some pictures from tonight. He was clinging on my leg while I was making dinner.
Goofy boy
He had so much fun tonight on the iPad with his Nanny ( and Mommy enjoyed a break from my shadow) it was so cute to see him playing board games, hide and seek ,Ball, cars, and lots of giggling all thru the iPad. He is a pretty creative kid who does not let little things like a few thousand miles stand in the way of having fun with Nanny.

Our little guy
Kyle has had a rough few weeks, he ended up in the Doctor getting medication for croup last Friday, Saturday he was looking better and then Sunday he started running 103 temps. Tuesday was back to the doctor and a diagnosis of a double ear infection. So now we are treating that, but antibiotics are really rough on his already fragile system. And with the changes in seasons he has been having a asthma flare. Just thought I would give a little Kyle update. We appricate your prayers.
