Mommy's Birthday Bash

We had the tough job of celebrating Katie's birthday this past weekend. Believe it or not I was actually prepared this year (kinda). The kids made her cards. We had presents stategically hidden (some better than others, daddy's were never found, the girls need a little help not hiding things in piles that mommy will clean up later). We had plans for the day after. On her birthday Katie got up and went to breakfast with a friend. After nap time we packed up and we for a picnic.
Kyle drinking lemonade.
Waiting for the burgers to cook
Racing back from the bathroom.
Almost time to eat.
The strawberry jello cake.
Singing happy birthday.
Helping blow out the candles.
Josh post dinner hike.
Lucy post dinner hike.
Say cheese!!!
Mommy and her girls.

The next day we got up, made mommy breakfast and then we got to take her to her first baseball game for the Cleveland Indians.
Heading in the front gate.
Taking our seats and breaking out the junk food.
I taught Kyle how to yell "Go Tribe!!" He's really cute about it.

The nacho bowl hat.
The hat again.
Mommy, Kyle and Josh ready for the foul ball.
Still ready.
One last photo opp on our way out.
Kyle didn't make it. Part of why we left early. The kids did good made it until the 8th ending and everyone had fun. Over all I believe we had a great weekend celibrating Katie. We are so thankful to God for giving her to us and letting us be a part of her life.

Pumps and pickles

We received Kyle's pump a little over a week ago. We only have one sleeve right now, but we are hoping to get a second sleeve in the next few weeks.
This is our pump time, Kyle sits on my lap and watches Curious George or "Monkey" as he calls it. Right now we try to do about 15 minuites a day per arm after he gets up and I unwrap him. Then we put his garments on. They want us to work up to 30-60 minutes a day. That will be easier with 2 sleeves, sometimes after we switch arms he does not want to sit anymore so we only get 5-10 minutes on the second arm. But I think it is helping, now we just need to go get new garments again for my growing boy!
This weekend I also made some pickles from cucumbers and green beans from our CSA, they will taste yummy this fall and winter!
Happy Sunday!!!
