Driving...

Yesterday we said good bye. We said goodbye to Mom and Dad. We said good bye to "home"   It was a rough day It was also a long day we loaded in the car at 9 am and got to our first  day destination at 11:30 pm. That is a LONG day to have 4 children locked in a car. And a long time to drive. I got to learn how to drive with a utility trailer behind my car and Wade drove his truck.
The day did not end with pictures but let me try and paint a picture with words for you.  2 tried parents carting in 4 sleeping kids, getting everyone in their sleeping bags, 2 tried parents crawling in to their sleeping bags and the the one year old decides he has had a good nap and wants to party. Then excited kids wake up at 6:30 ready to roll. Good thing God made caffeine. Today we are back on the road again heading south praying our day ends a little earlier, because tomorrow we have a big surprise planned for the kids!

Brookings, Eugene, Cleveland, Eugene, Portland, Florence, Brookings, and then back to Florence in 17 days

May 8th Wade and I flew to Ohio to do a little house hunting and check out our new home. We stayed with some friends that live about an hour from where we will live, it was fun to see them again ( they moved from Brookings about a year ago)
 Hanging out on the airplane
Hopefully if all goes well this will be our house in three weeks :-) (huge prayer request that all goes smooth with getting in to the house)
This will be our guest room, so start booking your trips :-)
Wade's new station
This will be his new boat he gets to drive
This is the lake front by the station
The Cleveland Browns stadium is across the street from Wade's station
This is the view of downtown Cleveland from the station

Then we flew back in on Mother's Day and picked up the kids from Mom and Dad and drove up to Portland for MD appts for Kyle. My husband and kids took me out to PF Chang's for dinner on Mother's Day.
Kyle likes to snuggle with his Mama and Daddy in the morning
Kyle playing on the playground at the children's hospital before his appt

He loved crawling all over following his big brother and sisters
Kyle and his GI MD that diagnosed him, MD Garcia is wonderful!

Then we came back to Florence and spent a few days with Mom and Dad because we found out the movers were going to be a week later than we had hoped
We hung out at the beach
Hunted agates

Then Wade, Kyle and I headed back to Brookings to help the movers pack up the house and have Kyle see his FNP one more time (she is the best and will be DEARLY missed and hard to replace) and then we said good bye to Brookings one last time
We are currently in Florence getting ready to start on our BIG road trip. Please pray for traveling mercies, safety and for good health for everyone especially Kyle. We got his compression garment delivered to us because it was not ready when we were in Portland last time, and can not figure out how they expect us to get him in it :-( it is not how we thought it would be and got no instruction on its use. I have to call the company that made it Tuesday and we pray we can find a wonderful lymph edema specialist when we get back to Avon Lake,OH (that is the suburb we will be living in)
Here is our best attempt at getting him in his compression jacket, his hands are about 6 inches from the end of the sleeve.

Birthday parties!

    Lucy and Beckett

Sunday afternoon we had a little birthday party for both Lucy and Kyle. I had planned a beach themed party and had something's for the kids to do outside. It had been in the 80-90s the last few days so I thought maybe we would add a little water fun too. Well we woke up to fog but decided that was ok we would just not do the water. Then as guests started to arrive we had a thunderstorm :-(  so we got the food undercover and headed inside. We still had a fun time hanging out inside with the whole gang.
