Busy busy!

This week we have had a busy week!! Monday we went and picked Wade up at the airport, it is nice to have him home.
Tuesday we picked up Mom at the airport, we are very excited to have her visiting!!!!
Wednesday morning we got a phone call at 7:15 saying they could do our roof that morning. Luckily Wade was off so he could help over see the project, we had no idea what we would find when they got all the sheeting off.
Here's the house with it's roof off
By the end of the day they had the wood and paper on, they shingled it on Thursday, I will try and post a picture later, they just have a few little things to finish up with.
On Wednesday we also went on a field trip to Pioneer Days at a local metro park.
The kids learned about pioneer cooking and living
Pioneer games
Josh was really good at chasing the wheel
Kyle had to try because his big brother was doing it.
We listened to " grassroots " music
And learned about our local civil war history. We also went on a plant hike and learned lots of other interesting things. It was a fun busy day.

It's Sunday again!!!

What have we been up to this week????
Monday we were at the ER with Kyle, he was having an Asthma attack, I had tryed all my tools I have at home, breathing treatments and oral steroids Sunday night and Monday and when Wade got off work we took him in. They did not really add anything, they thought about admitting him for a while but then just told us to keep doing what we were doing.
Tuesday I finally got around to making Jam from the berries we picked
Mmmmmm jam!!

The next day at his follow up with his pediatrician we found out she wants us to go back to the allergist (we will see a new one the last one I did not care for) and now a pulmonologist. He is doing a lot better now and just has a runny nose.
Wednesday we had tornado warnings and lots of rain and our basement flooded....again...,:-(
Luckily Wade was able to come home for a few hours Thursday and help me move big stuff around before he flew out to Idaho.
He made the American legion sign!!!

Thursday after we dropped Wade off at the airport we went and picked up Kyle's new garments.
They seemed to fit good but by the end of the day they are sliding down on his fingers, so we will take them back in tomorrow hopefully and have them look at them.
I made tomato sauce from tomatoes from my garden. I have gotten about 3 gallons of sauce so far! And I also made a yummy peach cobbler!!!

Friday night the kids and I got Chinese take out and practiced our chop stick skills.
Lucy and her wild hair.
Saturday we were back at the soccer field. Josh played goalie for half his game. Kyle likes to try and run out in the field and play too with all of his siblings, he definitely keeps me on my toes.
Today was church and cleaning getting ready to start another week! Hopefully we will be getting a new roof this week!!! I am excited to finally get this project moving! I am so ready to have our upstairs back someday soon, hopefully!! (4 months and counting :-(. )
We are excited to have Wade home tomorrow, we will go pick him up at the airport in the late afternoon.

What did we do this weekend?

Friday we had a play date at the park with friends. We went for a little hike and saw all kinds of little animals, tadpoles and snakes to name a few, the kids had a blast but boy was it hot and muggy!
Saturday we started out with rainy soccer games. It was everyone's first game of the season. Friday we hit the low 90's and it was muggy. Then we had thunderstorms that night and Saturday we woke up to rain and high 60's, crazy weather!
Josh's team won their game, this is the first year they really keep track of score, it rained his whole game but it was fun to watch.
The girls also had their first game, they are on the same team. Lucy was a little nervous and I don't really think understood about trying to get the ball in the goal but she had fun and was really cute running around kicking the ball. Delaney scored a goal and really enjoys the social aspect of hanging out with all the girls, and she is pretty good getting the ball around the field.
Kyle shows up for the snacks but also loves to cheer everyone on and tries to sneak on the field when I am not watching to play too.
These two are two peas in a pod!!
Lucy:-)
Scoring goals

Today after church we went in search of peaches. And found out the rumers I heard were right and ohios peach crop all froze this winter with our really cold weather. It was a sad day. I found some but they were not cheap enough to can this year, so no canned peaches this winter, I guess I will have to can twice as much applesauce. We did find a u-pick raspberry place, so we stoped and picked a flat of berries.
Kyle wondered away from me while picking into the tomato patch and told me he was picking " big strawberries" he is pretty cute, but VERY busy.
We also found a little frozen custard shop that stated they had the best custard in the county, we had not had lunch besides raspberries so we stoped and tryed it, it was pretty good, Kyle and I shared a lime vanilla swirl.
The girls both got chocolate raspberry swirl.
Josh got lime.
We came home and washed the front of the house (siding) and the car.
It was a pretty busy weekend all in all! I am tried and think I will head to bed, we are excited that Wade will get to be off tomorrow!!!
