Birthday for Daddy

We celebrated Wade's Birthday the day after the actual date because he was starting to feel better. The kids and I made him a sourdough chocolate cake per his request.

Kyle did not want to over dress for the party, that is how we roll in this house, no shoes no shirt, no pants, no problem- if you are 3 or under :-)
Singing to Daddy
I had him doing some deep-breathing exercises  after his stint with the flu, (and yes I only let him blow out candels on his piece of cake, trying to keep the flu contained)
But over all it was very fun to celebrate my amazing Hubby on his Birthday, he is a pretty busy guy with lots on his plate and on top of all he does at work he still comes home with a smile on his face ready to take on our crazy mob who love their Daddy!

Awana Grand Prix

Well we have been keeping busy and trying to get everyone well at the same time ( which we are still working on) Our latest victim to fall to the sick bug is Wade, I finally made him go to the MD today and he was diagnosed with influenza B. So he has the weekend off work and is home resting.
Last night was the Awana Grand Prix, Wade and the kids have been hard at work the last week or so getting their cars ready for the race.
Delaney getting her car ready to race
Josh won first place for Style
 His very cool jeep
You know you spend too much time at the Doctor when playing with a unused puke bag out of Mommy's purse is a very fun hat.
 Everyone had a fun time
 Lucy and her Oregon Car
 Delaney and her Wyoming car
Josh and his jeep

If you think about it you can keep our family in your prayers, we have been running into some major insurance issues with Kyle's care, we have had to cancel some important appointments due to the insurance issues and have been fighting hard to get Kyle new gloves, which he desperately needs.
All wrapped up for the night and ready for bed

Happy Easter!!!

This is what Easter looks like when Wade is on duty and Katie is home with a kid who has barely been on antibiotics for 24 hours.
We started the morning slowly with Josh telling us the Easter story with the resurrection eggs, and then reading some of our favorite Easter books. At lunch time we headed into the station to have lunch with Wade.

Kyle was not feeling like cooperating with pictures but these 3 were great :-)
Down at the station I got one with all 4 of them
And Mr. Kyle was all into taking pictures by himself
 He is a ham

This kids just keeps growing up!
No trip to the Station on Easter is complete without a family picture in front of a boat
 Eating Easter Lunch
This is one of the sweet Axillary members who cooked our meal
 Wade and Bugga
Tuggy had to come along too, he liked running around
Egg hunt, Wade and Josh hid the eggs around on the lawn ( on a side note I almost left this tradition off this year because we had nothing to put in the eggs, but I am so glad I did not our kiddos had so much fun taking turns hiding the eggs and finding them with each other and no one cared that they were all empty) another side note the building behind Delaney is the Rock and Roll Hall of fame,
Kyle kept getting winded but his big brother and sisters helped him get lots of eggs.
Happy Easter!
He has Risen!

Doing Better

Thanks for your prayers. Kyle came home last night around 0200 has an ear infection and some lung stuff going on. Please keep him in your prayers as he  starts an antibiotic. His system doesn't normally tolarate them well but it's something we need to get going.

Keep us in your prayers

Kyle is back in the ER again tonight. He was running a high temp this evening and then was starting to have difficulty breathing with a low O2 reading. Thankfully the station had enough people this weekend so I could come home and take care of the "Big 3" while Katie took Kyle in. Last update they were waiting in the lobby.

On a lighter note Kyle really wanted to help role his wraps this morning and took this one from me after I started it. He was really cute.
And this is what he ended with. Pretty awesome for an almost 3 year old with swollen hands and fingers.

Thanks for keeping us lifted up.

So update- Kyle has a nasty ear infection and we are waiting in a chest X-ray to come back, he got a dose a steroids to help with his breathing, he is enjoying the Popsicles at the hospital.
Also as some of you know I spent yesterday and this morning at the pediatrician  and  today at the surgeon with Lucy because her ear lobe swallowed her back to her earring at some point. I am happy to report that the surgeon was able to get it out in his office with minimal trauma, so we will not have to have surgery to get it out! Praise The Lord! Her ear is looking good and she says it feels a lot better!
