We have been trying to enjoy the winter, of course we had to arrive in Cleveland the year they are having the "worst" winter in 20 years, but that's ok we are troopers :-)
2 weeks ago we had go downtown for a MD appt. So we decided while we were down there we would go check out the Cleveland museum of natural history. We had heard really good things about it.
They had a room with big dinosaur bones in it that everyone thought were pretty cool
Roarrrrr!
We checked some books out of the library when we got home to find out what was special about Balto.
Our museum also is home to "Lucy" the missing link- or something like that, which brought about good converstations about what we believe and how some people have diffrent beliefs, and about creation and being created in the image of God.
They had a children's area that was very fun to play in, Kyle enjoyed rearranging all the rocks and fossils for them
They also all enjoyed digging for dinosaur bones, Kyle could have done this all day
Making "heat handprints"
Checking out the map
Exploring fossils and animal skins
We also took the kids sledding the other day. There is a little hill at a park close to our house. We don't have any sleds so we used a laundry basket, a garbage bag and a cardboard box, the laundry basket was by far the favorite "sled"
Delaney and Kyle

Lucy, my daredevil
Kyle LOVES the snow
And he's off...
The sledding hill ( it is small, but they loved it!)
We have been busy with some medical appts. so I will give you guys an update. Josh had an eye MD appt that showed his eye is driffting back in quite a bit, so we are trying glasses to see if that will help correct it, or we may need to consider surgery again. Please pray the glasses work, we really thought since he had been doing so well after his last surgery that we were "out of the woods" on that, but we are not. Josh's therapy for his toe walking is going well, he is getting a lot more range. Now we are working on strengthening the muscles that he has not been using. His PT is very happy with his progress :-)
Kyle saw this GI yesterday, and his dietician last week, we are going to be running some stool studies ( one of which I get to collect all of his stool for 3 day and keep it in the fridge till I turn it in, and it can not make contact with the diaper) , his normal labs, and an abdominal ultrasound ( to see how much fluid is in his tummy). He also is referring us to go talk with a genetics MD, and he would like us to talk to the vascular malformations team about doing the tests to "map out" his lymph system sooner than later. So we are going to have a busy month or two with appts and tests. We will let you know when we know more. Kyle is doing really well right now besides having diarrea very often. He is growing and gaining weight which is good.
We also need to start working on new gloves and sleeves for him because his are starting to get a little small, (and it took us a long time to get the last set so we are starting early) the problem is that his PT who helps us with that just went on materity leave and will not be back for 3 months so we are on the search for a new lymphedema PT/OT that will help us with that process.
Hope everyone has great weekend, we would love to hear what you are up too!
