Duck tape, strawberries, garments (that fit!) and a new bike!

What a Saturday! The kids and I headed out this morning to a neighboring town to see the Duck tape festival and watch the parade with some friends.

Everyone is soooo ready to say cheese
They had amazing floats all made out of Duck tape.
The theme was out of this world, or something like that, so there were lots of aliens and ET and that sort of things.
It was fun to see all the things, clothes, art, that people make out of duck tape. The factory is here right by us so this is a very big deal to the community.
Then we went and picked more strawberries :-)
My picking partner was on my back, I think I have strawberry juice all over my neck and down my back from him sharing. He was so excited to ride the tractor out to the fields, and told me every time it did it's loop.
Now we are washing and preping berries to be eaten, frozen and made in to jam! I have good helpers.
When we got home from berry picking Kyle had garments waiting in the mail box! We got the gloves on before he went down for a nap, but I really need to wrap  him and get him down tonight to get the sleeves to fit, he has been unwrapped all morning.
Then this evening we were invited to the Elk's club where Kyle was given a tricycle that he peddles with his arms. So he is using his upper body to help those lymphatics. Kyle's therapist ( who is wonderful!) worked with them to get him the right one and it fits great and he LOVES it:-)
Wade got to go with us, which was very nice.
And now the kids are in bed, Wade is back at work, and I am finishing up the last batch of jam for the night, 17 quarts tonight and 9 quarts 2 nights ago, I think I am getting my yearly quota for strawberry jam built back up. Goodnight:-)
